Good news for Carrigans and Letterkenny plants

AFTER a bleak year on the jobs front there was some good news yesterday (Thursday) with confirmation that more than 100 manufacturing jobs have been secured. Donegal Meats in Carrigans has reversed its decision to cease production in the boning hall - safeguarding 91 jobs while new orders at Medisize Ireland Ltd in Letterkenny has led to the postponement of plans to cut 25 employees from the workforce. THE Donegal man who acts as Ricky Nixon's right-hand man in Ireland has said that the chance to play Australian Rules Football would be a 'massive opportunity' for Tir Chonaill star Michael Murphy.
