A NEWTOWNCUNNINGHAM woman won ¤20,000 on Winning Streak on Saturday night.
Ms Jenny McGlinchey of Ballybegley was one of the lucky five contestants on Winning streak. She bought her winning ticket from Mr Darragh Doherty, Doherty Newsagent, Bridge St, Carndonagh
The five players from Cavan, Donegal, Dublin, Westmeath, and Limerick won prizes to the value of ¤181,700. The biggest winner on the night was Lucy McGrane from Tallaght, Dublin 24 who won prizes to the value of ¤60,500.
Jenny was born in London but moved with her family to live in Carndonagh when she was nine years old. Married to Mike for the last 18 years the couple spent 12 years living in Dublin before moving to live in Ballybegley in 2001. They have three children, Kevin, Grace and Sinead. Her children have lots of plans (which include Playstation 3) for her winnings but Jenny would love to go on a holiday, she said. She describes herself as a housewife and enjoys gardening and reading. She attends art classes and does a bit of painting.
Her father Jim O'Donnell gave her the lucky scratch card. She has two sisters Jackie and Marie in England and a sister Theresa in Donegal. She sent a special greeting to her granny Mary O'Donnell who is 93 and living in Carndonagh.
