Arrests for Public Order offences


TWO men were arrested in Long Lane area on Saturday evening on public order charges.

Gardai were called to the area on Saturday evening for reports of a disturbance.

One man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and a second individual was arrested on a related public order charge. Both were arrested and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station.

Meanwhile the number of public order arrests in Letterkenny were down over the weekend to almost half.

Five people were arrested on public order charges on Friday night and five were arrested on Saturday night.
