FOUR Donegal businesses have appeared on the latest published list of tax defaulters, published this week.
The four collectively made a settlement with the Revenue Commissioners for Euro639,540.
The latest list covers the period between July and September. The highest payment made in the county was from a Donegal Town based car dealers and guest house owner.
Anthony Mulhern of Ardlenagh paid a total of Euro395,926 after he was found to have under declared Income Tax and VAT. This followed a Revenue Single Premium Insurance Products investigation case.
Carndonagh based building contractor B. Doherty properties (Irl) Ltd of Gortyarn made a settlement of Euro144,956 following the discovery of an under declaration of VAT during a Revenue Audit.
Churchill publican Raymond Callaghan agreed a settlement of Euro58,658 after an under declaration of VAT and Income Tax was discovered on foot of a Revenue Audit.
A Killygordon based publican made a settlement of Euro40,000. Frances Byrne of Crossroads was found to have under declared Income Tax and VAT following a Revenue Audit case.
The total number of settlements published for this third quarter was 76. The value of these settlements was over Euro17.5 million.
