GARDAI are investigating an incident at Ard na Ri on Saturday during which a female resident had all the windows in her house broken and the windows in her car smashed.

The amount of damage caused was x1, 200. The incident happened around 6.30pm and Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The tyres of a van were also slashed at Ard na Ri on Tuesday morning last. x200 worth of damage was caused.

PINEHILL ESTATE

There was also vandalism at Pinehill Industrial Estate this week. Vandals smashed the windows of a van parked overnight outside Carpet Interiors on the Mountain top.

The incident happened between 10.15pm on Tuesday and 7am on Wednesday. The fly window of a car parked at the Pinehill Industrial Estate was also smashed and the cowel unit damaged. ¤200 worth of damage was caused.

A person was detected stealing a bottle of whiskey from Tesco on Saturday morning last at 3.45am. The bottle cost ¤22.95.
