GARDAI in Ballybofey are investigating the death of a young woman in a house in Killygordon yesterday morning.

Valerie McKinney (18) of Listillion, Letterkenny was found dead in bed at the house of friends she had been staying with on Saturday night.

It is understood the deceased is a former pupil of the Royal and Prior School in Raphoe.

A post mortem is scheduled to be carried out this morning.

Gardai stated yesterday that they were not treating the death as suspicious at this time.
