ONE of Donegal's biggest property developers is set to make major financial gains under the Railway Procurement agency's proposed routes for Metro West in Dublin.
Pat Doherty, who owns Harcourt Developments in Dublin, owns land near or on one of the new routes. Property magnates Michael Cotter and Bernard McNamara are also benefiting similarly to Doherty. Two routes through Blanchardstown have been proposed by the RPA.
Just last week, a Harcourt Development project in Dublin which comprises of a commercial, residentail, retail and cultural scheme, was appealed. The project has been granted a 10-year planning permission and a Dublin resident appealed to An Bord Pleanála.
In 2005, Harcourt Developments unveiled plans for a ¤1.46bn Belfast development. Its directors include broadcaster Mike Murphy, Robert Langdon, Patrick John Power, John Doherty and Conal Power.
