THE provision of a playground for Ballybofey and Stranorlar has moved one step closer.
Donegal County Council have confirmed they are "actively seeking to identify a suitable site within the Ballybofey/Stranorlar area that meets all of the criteria with regard to the development of a playground."
The Community, Enterprise and Cultural Services division of the Council are currently entering into discussions with an outside agency to seek their support with the provision of a site. Following this, the matter will then be reverted back to the Electoral Area Committee for the Members' consideration.
Funding for the playground has also been agreed through the Development Contribution Scheme to facilitate putting it in place once a suitable site has been finalised.
