A FIRE caused hundreds of thousands of euro worth of damage at a garage near St Johnston last Friday morning.
The emergency services were alerted to the fire at McCauley's Trucks, Brockagh, St Johnson at around 11am. Fire engines from Letterkenny and Strabane rushed to the scene, however, four lorries and the garage were extensively damage in the inferno.
A spokesman for Letterkenny Fire Station said that officers and to remove gas cylinders from the building and cool them as a safety precaution. No one was injured in the fire which is believed to have started accidentally.
