TWO people were arrested following what gardai have described as a 'significant' drugs find in the Finn Valley area in the early hours of yesterday (Thursday) morning.
A garda spokesman confirmed the arrests were made after a planned operation where a house was searched in the Killygordon area. A quantity of cannabis was found in the search.
"A man and woman were arrested at the scene and taken to Letterkenny Garda Station. The woman appeared in Letterkenny District Court yesterday morning charged under Section 3 of the Misuse of Drugs Act. The man was detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act and questioned. A file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions," the spokesman added.
