A Letterkenny firm has confirmed it is to expand its operations in to Donegal Town.
One of the county's fastest growing companies, WATSONHIRE has acquired new premises for its hire and sales business in the south of the county. They plan to employ fifteen people over the next 18 months, with an initial staff of six being employed immediately.
Speaking to the Donegal News this week Company Director, Mr John Watson cited the prospect of many large building projects planned for Donegal Town and the south of the county as the reasons for the expansion.
WATSONHIRE has become the largest provider of hire equipment to the construction, DIY, and industrial sectors in the northwest.
"We already have a strong loyal customer base in the south Donegal area and we feel this expansion will further enhance the service being offered to these customers," Mr Watson said.
"The prospect of the many large building projects planned for Donegal Town and the south of the county coming on stream in the near future was one of the reasons for our decision to locate the largest store of its kind in Ireland in Donegal Town,." he added.
Mr Watson said they would be advertising to fill the new jobs within the next few weeks. Mr Watson started up the business on July 4, 2005. The firm currently employs 15 people in Letterkenny.
