PROPOSALS in the region of ¤10million to ¤15million are being sought for a two acre re-development site in the heart of Letterkenny.
Incorporating Gleneany House Hotel, the former James Johnston property and an adjoining car park the site has been described as one of the best re-development sites to come on the market in Letterkenny in recent times.
"It offers enormous potential for a mixed high density commercial- residential-hotel type development," Mr Rainey said.
The two-acre site is owned by the Kelly family from Mountcharles who purchased the original property now trading as Gleneany Hotel back in 1984. A few years ago they purchased the immediately adjoining James Johnston property.
Meanwhile, the former Black's Centra convenience store at Convent Road-Ballymacool Road, has come on the market.
Mr Boyd Robinson of Charlie Robinson, Auctioneers, Estate Agents and Valuers, said the guide price was ¤2.75 million. The property includes a shop, deli and off licence, offices on the first floor and has been trading for five years under its current owner Mr Jason Black.
"The premises has a very strategic location in the heart of Letterkenny. Last year it won an award for having the highest gross turnover per square foot of any Centra in Ireland," Mr Robinson said.
