Foul play ruled out in death of woman

GARDAI in Letterkenny confirmed yesterday (Sunday) that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a woman whose body was discovered in a house in Dungloe on Friday.

Patricia Harley (nee McGee), who was 69, was found dead in her Carnmore Road home on Friday afternoon and gardai were called.

Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis travelled to Letterkenny General Hospital to carry out a post- mortem on Saturday.

According to gardai the post-mortem report revealed that the deceased had sustained head injuries as a result of a fall which led to her death.

The house at Carnmore Road was still sealed off yesterday afternoon and it was not confirmed when the deceased's remains would be released from the hospital.

Gardai are treating the death as accidental following the post mortem findings.
