Athletes at the top table!
By taking home no fewer than ten medals from Saturday's Tailteann Games interprovincial schools U-17 championships, Fermanagh's young athletes yet again confirmed their place at the top table of schools athletics in Ireland and set themselves up nicely for the All-Ireland open age group championships over the next two weekends.

Tough weekend for Josh
Fermanagh's Josh Elliott went into the Red Bull Rookies Moto GP Cup race at Assen after two troubled days of practice in which he suffered both chassis and engine problems.
The KTM mechanics repaired a crack in his rear frame swinging arm which was discovered after final qualifying late on Friday evening, and a different piston and ring were also fitted due to the one he used for practice being faulty.

in Irish Open
The Maguire twins, Lisa (joint third) and Leona (5th) were among the top finishers in last week-end's Irish Open Championship which attracted a high-profile European field.
Lisa ended up four shots behind the winner, Breanne Loucks (Wales), a Curtis Cup star who logged a final round of 73 to beat Scotland's Roseanne Niven into second place, three strokes behind. She posted a two under par 70 to finish one ahead of Lisa Maguire and Charlotte Wild...>>> more
