CCTV WILL HELP REDUCE CRIME

Seven Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) are now in operation in Enniskillen town centre, and it is hoped the cameras will help reduce the level of crime in the area, while at the same time make the town feel safer for locals and tourists alike. The Enniskillen initiative is part of a £2m investment by the Northern Ireland Office in CCTV cameras and the third of 14 different schemes covering 19 locations in Northern Ireland. Brewster Park will be back as venue for Fermanagh football and home base for Enniskillen commencing this Friday evening when the Gaels entertain Derrygonnelly Harps in round two of the SFL. Pupils knitting hats for African babies


Sometimes it's the simplest of ideas that capture the imagination. And, over the past few weeks, one relatively simple idea has caught the imagination of pupils, parents and even staff at the Model Primary School in Enniskillen. The idea came from one of the school's teachers, Mrs McCormick, who saw an item on the 'Paul O'Grady Show' over the Easter break about how many new born babies in South Africa die in the first week of life because of the cold. The show then carried an appeal by 'Save the Children' for people to knit little...
