A 20-year-old Tempo man has been fined £300 for disorderly behaviour on The Diamond in Enniskillen following a recent sitting of Fermanagh Magistrate's Court.
Defending Ryan Gerard McGrail from Cullion Road, Barry Lynam told the Court that his client left school at 16 and had been in constant employment as a brick-layer until recently when a downturn in the building industry had meant he had been without work for the last seven days.
He noted how McGrail had previous convictions for disorderly behaviour and said a conditional discharge was imposed on the 6th August last year for a period of 18 months, and this in consequence was a breach of that order.
He submitted that his client was not the typical type of defendant who came before the court, suggesting that his record was not old.
Mr Lynam said McGrail came into difficulty when he socialised as he had a tendency to overindulge in alcohol, something he was aware of.
He urged the Magistrate to deal with the defendant as lenient as possible saying his client hoped to return to work as soon as possible.
Mr Murphy imposed a £300 fine.
