Ulster primary schools' team championships

The Western heats of the Ulster Primary Schools Table Tennis competition were held in the new sports hall at Fivemiletown College.

Twenty teams from Cavan, Monaghan, Tyrone and Fermanagh competed at three different age levels.

Pupils from primary four to seven competed on ten tables for the medals.

RESULTS

U-11 Boys: 1st Kesh 'A'; 2nd Fivemiletown; 3rd Kesh 'B'.

U-11 Girls: 1st Aughnacloy

U-11 Mixed: 1st St Clare's 'A'; 2nd Carntall; 3rd St Clare's 'B'.

U-10 Boys: 1st St Clare's, Ballyjamesduff; 2nd Fortview, Clones.

U-10 Mixed: 1st St Clare's; 2nd Aughnacloy 'A'; 3rd Aughnacloy 'B'.

U-9 Boys: 1st Carntall.

U-9 Girls: 1st Carntall.

INDIVIDUAL

The Ulster primary schools Individual Table Tennis Championships will also be in Fivemiletown College Sports Hall on Wednesday 28th March 2007.

Players may play in one event from the following:

Boys: U-12 (Open), U-10 (P6), U-9 (P5), U-8 (P4).

Girls: U-12 (Open), U-10 (P6), U-9 (P5), U-8 (P4).

(Ages as on 30th June 2006.)

Age groups may be sub-divided into 'mini' events based on ability.

Entry fee £2 per player.

The U-8 competition may be mixed boys and girls, depending on numbers.

All events start at 10.00 am and aim to be completed by 3.00pm.
