The Agriculture Departmental Committee of the Northern Ireland Public Service Alliance (NIPSA) held their Annual Conference in Mahon's Hotel, Irvinestown on Thursday.
Delegates from right across the Province debated a wide range of Motions including, the Comprehensive Spending Review, Workplace 2010 and the Review of Public Administration.
Other issues debated included the Proposed Closure of Agriculture Offices in Lisnaskea and Irvinestown, a call for improved communications between the Department and the Farming Community and a drive to only use timber products sourced from sustainable forests.
As would be expected there are also a section of motions on the threat posed by Avian Influenza.
In addition to discussion of motions, the conference was addressed by Jolena Flett from the Northern Ireland Council for Ethnic Minorities on the subject of Racism in Northern Ireland.
