Collegiate
celebrates
75th with
anniversary dinner

As part of their 75th Anniversary celebrations, the Collegiate Grammar School in Enniskillen are holding their 75th Anniversary Dinner on Thursday 4th October next in the Killyhevlin Hotel.

The programme will commence at 7.30pm.

This event is to be the highlight of the celebrations to mark the Collegiate Grammar School's 75th anniversary year on its current site in Cooper Crescent in Enniskillen, and the organisers are hoping that this will be an enjoyable opportunity for all those with connections to the school past and present to celebrate.

They committee are keen to see as many past pupils, parents, former members of staff and friends of the school at the event to join with current members of the school community in marking this occasion. They also hope that the evening will allow old acquaintances to be renewed as well as new friendships to be established.

Principal of Collegiate Grammar Elizabeth Armstrong stresses that this just isn't an event for Old Collegians but it's for past and present members of the school community as well as friends of the school of all ages.

For further details, and for tickets for the event (which are priced £30), people are asked to contact the school office on 028 66322165.

People may also be interested to know that copies of the anniversary booklet, 'Now and Then' are also available from the school office. This booklet, which compares and contrasts aspects of school life throughout the 75 years, is the School Council's contribution to mark the anniversary.

It contains many interesting anecdotes gleaned from their interviews with former pupils as part of their research. For further details and to purchase a copy at price £4, please contact the school office at 028 6632 2165. Elizabeth Armstrong also wanted to draw attention to the school's 'House Plays' which will be performed in the school at the beginning of December.
