Fermanagh Film Club's season continues on Tuesday 12th February with Zhang Yimou's latest Chinese extravaganza, 'Curse of the Golden Flower'.
In the same genre as his 'House of Flying Daggers' this is a sensational film to look at, with stunning set pieces and interior designs of extraordinary intricacy and colour. Set in imperial China a millennium ago, it is a tale of intrigue, court plotting and vast battles.
Once again Zhang's leading lady and muse, Gong Li, carries the film with a stunning performance. The close collaboration between director and actress over the years has brought a new generation of Chinese cinema to international audiences with films such as, 'Raise the Red Lantern', 'Red Sorghum' and 'Memoirs of a Geisha' .
Venue as usual, Fermanagh House, Broadmeadow, at 8pm. Non-members always welcome, admission £6, pay at the door.
