Pupils from Saint Naile's in Kinawley are celebrating their success in Marie Curie Cancer Care's 'Fields of Hope' campaign, sponsored by Yellow Pages.
More than 70 schools across Northern Ireland got their hands dirty for charity by planting daffodil bulbs in their schools grounds to create their very own 'Field of Hope'.
Pupils were asked to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care whilst learning about the work of Marie Curie Nurses who provide high quality nursing, free of charge, to terminally ill people in the comfort of their own homes.
Saint Naile's has raised the highest amount of money for the charity per pupil within the West, winning £250 worth of book tokens from Yellow Pages for their efforts.
Sheena Havlin , Community Fundraising Manager for Marie Curie Cancer Care, said:
"The support we've received from schools for this year's 'Fields of Hope' campaign has been fantastic.
When the daffodils are in bloom they will serve as an excellent reminder of the great work done by Marie Curie Nurses."
