'Lady Chatterly' next up for Film Club

Fermanagh Film Club's next film on Tuesday 8th April almost needs no introduction.

The French/Belgian/U.K. production of "Lady Chatterly" or "L'homme des bois" tells the well known story by D.H. Lawrence.

However ,this film, directed by Pascale Ferran, takes a much more leisurely, sensous approach, largely free of the sexual pontifications intrinsic to earlier versions.

Perhaps, because of its female director, this film takes a much more tender and compassioante approach.

CHARACTERS

There is more focus on individaul characters and their personal histories which adds greatly to the story as it unfolds.

This approach obviously worked, as ,the film is the winner of five Ceasar awards in 2006.

Lady Chatterly will be shown on Tuesday 8th April at 8p.m. at the usual venue, Fermamangh House ,Broadmeadow Place, Enniskillen.

Non-members are welcome and every effort will be made to accomodate them
