Fivemiletown Primary School recently held a men and boys night for pupils to interact with their fathers, uncles, grandfathers or older brothers.

A total of 25 go-karts were made from old materials and were entered on the evening. The races took place in the school playground, and the go-karts, driven by the children and powered by their fathers, completed a two lap course. The races were competitive, with a number of crashes and spills. Certificates were presented by the four times Irish tarmac rally champion, Eugene Donnelly.
