HOW THE SCORES CAME

2 mins Tyrone began sprightly and a Lavery-Devine move provided the pass for full-forward, John Kerr to find the net.

1-0 to 0-0

7 mins It was all Tyrone, and, after missing the target from long distance, Peadar McMahon made amends.

1-1 to 0-0

11 mins Having sorted out a problem area in defence, Fermanagh came more and more into the game and got the goal they badly needed. The move started with full-back, Declan McGarry and was carried on by Karl Kehoe and Sean Corrigan who fed the final pass to Andrew Breslin for the score.

1-1 to 1-0

14 mins Tyrone posed a threat up front and, after Fermanagh goalkeeper, Peter McEvoy had twice saved instinctively from close range, Devine, Tyrone's most dangerous attacker pointed.

1-2 to 1-0

16 mins After being denied a penalty goal, Fermanagh twice struck for pointed frees from Ryan Bogue to bring the teams level for the first time.

1-2 to 1-2

17 mins Devine won a free which David Lavery converted to win back the lead for Tyrone.

1-3 to 1-2

20 mins Lavery, another threat, tosses over another score after winning a free.

1-4 to 1-2

23 mins Fermanagh were now on top, and Bogue again punished a Tyrone indiscretion.

1-4 to 1-3

29 mins Fermanagh level mattters again, thanks to a huge Jason McManus pointed free from over the halfway line.

1-4 to 1-4

35 mins The score that Fermanagh would claim was unjustly awarded: in attempting to clear, McManus is struck by a hurl, the ball breaks to Peadar McMahon for the score (the offender gets a second yellow and then a red card).

1-5 to 1-4

SECOND-HALF

1st min Great work by Kerr, who held off a couple of defenders, creates the pass for Devine to open Tyrone's account.

1-6 to 1-4

2nd min Conor Gallagher, with a free from the halfway line, increases Tyrone's lead.

1-7 to 1-4

5 mins A storming run by Karl Kehoe, who bursts past three defenders, ends in a free which Ryan Bogue converts.

1-7 to 1-5

17 mins Sporting a bandaged jaw ('I'd have played with a limb missing'), Jason McManus tosses over another long-distance free.

1-7 to 1-6

19 mins But, every time Fermanagh came calling, Tyrone seemed to find another gear and McMahon's long-distance free is the first of a three-point salvo.

1-8 to 1-6

22 mins The second is another Gallagher howitzer.

1-9 to 1-6

23 mins A Bogue pointed free.

1-9 to 1-7

24 mins Another Fermanagh indiscretion is again punished by Gallagher.

1-10 to 1-7

33 mins In the end, the score that mattered: a point by Lavery who lost his marker to find the target.

1-11 to 1-7

37 mins With the referee calling 3 minutes of time added on, Fermanagh give themselves the slimmest of hopes when a smart interchange between McShea and Sean Corrigan results in a goal for the youngster.

1-11 to 2-7

Three times, Fermanagh came back but, on each occasion, were denied by Niall Gallagher and Co.
