Youth charged with stealing 48 bottles of gin

A 16-year old who allegedly stole 48 bottles of gin before going on a drinking and wrecking spree was refused bail when he appeared at Fermanagh Magistrates Court on Monday to protect his own health.

The boy, who cannot be identified because of his age, is accused of breaking into a premises in Enniskillen last week with another youth and taking two boxes of the spirit.

He was later charged with burglary, stealing two boxes of gin, handling stolen goods and obstructing the Police by giving officers a false name.
