Croke Park announces new grant scheme

Croke Park has announced a new financial grant scheme which for Fermanagh, will entail the provision of a quarter of a million Euro spread over the next three years. The provision of this new money, as had been promised by Croke Park, has been generated by the income from the rent of the ground for soccer and rugby internationals. County Boards were at liberty to choose how they would spend the cash, either on one specific county scheme or to offer it to their clubs. The Fermanagh Management Committee have opted for the latter approach and details were announced at Monday night's Co Board meeting. There will be a maximum of ten clubs who will be allocated funds over the three year period. There will be a strict timeline in operation with applications having to be in Croke Park by August 1st. All applications will be forwarded to Dublin simultaneously.

Inside the next few days all clubs will be circulated with application forms and these have to be returned promptly in order that they can be assessed before being forwarded onwards to Croke Park.

The assessment of applications will be undertaken by the Development Committee and they will be assisted by outside assessors.
