The annual Country Fair at the National Trust's Florence Court estate, on Sunday 25 May, promises to be a great day out for all the family. This year a team of sky divers will land adding to an exciting array of activities and attractions, and promising an even bigger fun packed fair.
There will be a host of entertainment for all ages including live music from The Ernesiders Jazz Band and well-known singer Jacqui Bannon. A range of innovative craft items will be on offer from crafts stalls, offering everything from handmade chocolates to antiques and ceramics to jewellery and more. Children can look forward to face painting, Punch and Judy shows, balloon modelling and bouncy castles.
Visitors will also be able to enjoy a horse and carriage ride, sheep shearing demonstrations and the opportunity to watch Florence Court's sawmill cutting up huge logs, and the blacksmith's forge in action. The Rare Breeds Survival Trust will exhibit a wide range of rare breeds of pigs and sheep and also an Alpaca.
The Stables Tearoom offers delicious home style cooking and baking, and is open for lunches and afternoon teas. The National Trust gift shop displays a range of modern gifts to suit all tastes.
Brush up your own dog and bring it to the pet dog show, and at the end of the day, enjoy terrier and lurcher racing.
