Just two rounds into the league division one and already the pressure being felt by a number of clubs has intensified. Three sides, the promoted pairing of Brookeboro and Tempo, plus St Patricks have all failed to land a single point.
So a key weekend double bill shaping up for this under-performing trio and should they reach Sunday evening in similar straits then a long, difficult summer lies ahead.
Not that all three will be pointless come Sunday for there is a meeting between Tempo and St Patricks, but a draw would be of little real benefit to either.
Prior to their Sunday encounter Tempo have a testing away assignment with Teemore while St Patricks entertain Derrygonnelly. Of the two it is St Patricks who might hold out the greater hope of starting the weekend with a much needed win though visiting Derrygonnelly will have been roused by their excellent second round success over Enniskillen.
Tempo meanwhile have a daunting sixty minutes away to unbeaten Teemore.
Up at the top of the table are another trio. This a much more confident group, Belcoo, Devenish and Teemore all making the early running with two wins chalked up. Of that group it is Teemore who may be the only one to remain with a full quota of points for after they take on Tempo they have Brookeboro as their next opposition.
Belcoo on the other hand will be doing well to come out of the two match programme unscathed. They have a very interesting agenda, games with Enniskillen and Newtownbutler and should they manage to pick up a full four points haul from those games they will surely be fancying their chances of retaining their league crown.
A couple of derby games add further spice to the weekend. Devenish take on Derrygonnelly on Sunday, a fixture which always generates intense local interest and the Garrison team have a fairly strong record against the Harps. It is the second game of an especially intriguing bill for Devenish as they have Enniskillen as their opponents on Friday.
Newtownbutler versus Lisnaskea in another long established local battle. League form counts for little here. The Emmett's got off the mark in their second game, coming from behind to polish off Tempo. But Newtown, at the moment at least, appear to be that bit stronger overall and with home advantage they can swing matters their way.
Overall a lot of games of key interest on a weekend which sees club football make a long awaited return to the centre stage.
