180 golfers for Erne Waterway Challenge

Now in its ninth year, the Erne Waterway Challenge has proven a very popular event on the calendar for golfers from Northern Ireland, the UK and neighbouring counties.

The Challenge is a fourball team event which is open to all club handicap golfers in teams of men, women or mixed.

It is played over three courses; Castle Hume Golf Club, Slieve Russell Championship Golf Club and County Cavan Golf Club.

Teams will rotate from course to course over the three days. The Challenge can cater for 45 teams, and to date, two thirds of participating teams are registered.

This year's Challenge runs from Friday, 6th to Sunday 8th June.

The entry fee of ¤110 per person, or sterling equivalent includes full green fees at each club, with prize categories for daily individual scores, overall individual and overall team. The perpetual Cavan Crystal Trophy will be presented to the winning team.

Other prizes include green fees for top clubs in Ireland, vouchers for golf pro-shops and exclusive Belleek Pottery and Cavan Crystal Design.

Brochure / entry forms and accommodation listings are available from Erne Waterway Golf Challenge Office, Cavan Innovation & Technology Centre, Dublin Road, Cavan Tel. +353 (0)49 437 7200
