Choral workshops for budding young singers

Portora Royal School will host a full day of Choral workshops for selected students across all Secondary Schools in Enniskillen on Monday 22nd September.

As part of the schools Performing and Visual Arts designation the school has invited members of the Sense of Sound Choir, fresh from their recent successful appearance in BBC 1's 'Last Choir Standing' programme to deliver these workshops. This award winning English based company has been running singing courses locally, nationally and internationally since 1992 and the organisation encourages, inspires and develops the creativity of all those taking part through their work. Students will have the opportunity to be coached throughout the day by world class vocal practitioners. Workshops will cover vocal techniques, physical and vocal warm ups, improvisation, beatbox skills, various genres of repertoire focusing on music of black origin covering African, Soul, Gospel, RnB as well as performance skills. Students will gain valuable tips on how to improve their singing and contribute to their respective choirs. Contact 6632 2658 or e-mail ihodgson640@c2kni.net for more information.
