Cookery school wins gold

Belle Isle School of Cookery, Belle Isle has been selected as a Good Food Ireland Top Regional Member Award (North), sponsored by Tourism Ireland, as a member that most epitomises the Good Food Ireland philosophy in their region, of committing above all else to using local and artisan food produce.

This award was judged across all member sectors.

Irish Minister of Tourism and Sport, Martin Cullen and Good Food Ireland Chairman, Redmond O'Donohue joined Fiona Plunket from the Belle Isle School of Cookery together with Paul O'Toole of Tourism Ireland for the Good Food Ireland Awards.

They took place last week in the Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin.

Good Food Ireland is a not-for-profit, all-island network of members driving Ireland as a food tourism destination. The organisation promotes the link between the food producer and the hospitality sector in order to steer domestic and international tourists to places committed to sourcing local food.
