Neven's real food
for families

Neven's Real Food for Families is a new book from one of Ireland's most popular chefs. Containing over 100 recipes it's a cookbook for all occasions, Neven showing us how it's done in his trademark straightforward way.

Highlighting readily available ingredients, ease of cooking and maximum flavour, this family-orientated collection focuses on everyone helping out and sitting down together to eat the finished product.

There is a particular focus on cooking for kids with healthy options highlighted throughout, making selecting a nutritious family meal easier than ever. Neven is best known for his modern twists on old favourites and this collection is no exception. All of the recipes are brand new and reflect Neven's passion for healthy, tasty, fresh food.

Whatever the occasion: Valentines Day, St Patrick's Day, Oscar night, Easter, anniversary dinners to Late Late Toy Show treats, Christmas lunch, Al Fresco dining and movie nights in, Neven has it covered.

The accessible, easy-to-prepare, nutritious recipes are designed with busy, time-poor parents in mind as well as engaging children and getting them cooking. A must-have for anyone who wants to eat well at home without spending hours in the kitchen.

Celebrated chef Neven Maguire is Proprietor and Head Chef of MacNean House & Restaurant in Cavan, awarded Georgina Campbell's Restaurant of the Year 2007. Described by leading food writer John McKenna as 'as fine a chef as can be found in the country', Neven began cooking at the age of 12 in the kitchen of the family restaurant. Gaining experience in many Michelin Star restaurants across Europe, Neven has appeared on many television series, counts President McAleese amongst his fans and recently won Food & Wine's 'Ulster Chef of the Year 2007'.
