Are Wii having fun?

Post-Primary pupils in Enniskillen now have another venue to shelter from this Winter's chill.

The Western Education and Library Board's Youth Service's Lakeland Youth Centre on the Shore Road, near the Ulsterbus depot, has opened its "Drop-in" facility.

There, young people can meet friends, relax, enjoy a hot beverage and a host of recreational equipment. i.e. Wii, PS2, Pool table and large screen T.V. There is also a study room where those all important homeworks can be attended to.

Staff at the drop-in are keen to engage with young people to develop opportunities for projects and new learning experiences.

The drop-in operates Mondays and Wednesdays 4.00pm – 7.00pm. Entry is free, but registration is required.

Conveniently located next to the bus depot, the drop-in is ideally placed for pupils en route to rural destinations. "We have listened to what young people have been saying to us and have responded appropriately" says Senior Youth Worker Richard O'Neill.
