The Bridges Youth Hostel, Enniskillen will be bringing this year's 'Looking Back 2 Look Forward Project' to a close this week.
Marking this unique and creative project will be an exhibition display of the young people's work in the form of art and poetry which would be of particular interest to Art and History students.
This Friday will conclude the project with a book launch at the Clinton Centre, Enniskillen, whereby Susan Elliot, the US Consul General in attendance with Councillor Alex Baird Chairman of Fermanagh District Council will present the young people with a certificate of achievement and a glossy momentum book containing their experiences and artistic work produced during the Project.
The "Looking Back 2 Look Forward" project was part of Hostelling International Northern Ireland's Volunteering Programmes for Young People and is funded by the Big Lottery Fund who have awarded a grant of £146,000 from the Big Lottery Fund's Voluntary and Community Sector programme.
A year long assignment, this cross-community expressive arts project encouraged young people to explore the stories and historical experiences of past generations relating to their own communities through storytelling, art and poetry.
