A trial date has been set for three Fermanagh people accused of charges relating to the disposal of waste. Cyril Anthony McGuinness (42) and Mary Josephine McGuinness (45), from Teemore Road, Derrylin, and Cormac Owen McCaffrey (34), from Curryann Road, Maguiresbridge were ordered to return to Dungannon Crown Court on 20 November. All three face over 40 charges each. These are, namely, on 1st December 2003 they were in possession of a bank credit of 10,641 euro, being the proceeds of the unlawful transfrontier shipment of waste by Waterford Utility Services, and 21 similar charges. They are also charged that, on dates unknown between 1st October and 2nd December 2003, they transported or disposed of waste originating in the Republic of Ireland for disposal in the UK on behalf of Waterford Utility Service, for which they were paid, together with a further 22 similar charges. Bail conditions on all three defendants were relaxed slightly. They were released on their own bail of £7,500 and a surety of £5,000, and ordered to report to Police once a week and to surrender their passports.
