Would you like to play drums?

Would you like to play the bagpipes or drums? The Fermanagh Section of the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association has organised a seven week series of classes covering piping, side (Sare), Tenor and bass drumming and also Drum Majors.

The classes are open to everyone whether you currently play in a pipe band, or not and will provide tuition for the absolute beginners to experienced players.

Enrolment and assessment for the classes takes place on Saturday November 25th from 10.00 am until 2.00 pm at the Celtic Park Sports and Bowling Pavilion, Dublin Road, Enniskillen.

The classes will take place on Saturdays during December, break for Christmas and recommence on Saturday January 13th and conclude on Saturday January 27th.

The tutors for the classes are fully qualified and will follow the curriculum set out by the Northern Ireland Piping and Drumming School.

The cost of the course is a one off payment of £15.00 per pupil on enrolment.

A spokesperson advises that if the classes are successful, longer term tuition of piping and drumming could be sustained in Fermanagh.

Anyone interested in attending the classes, the organisers state a warm welcome awaits.

Further information can be obtained by contacting Cecil Jones, the Chairman of the Fermanagh Section (RSPBA) on 02885548806.

The Fermanagh Section advises that the monthly meeting of the section takes place on Monday December 4th at 8.00 pm in the Railway Hotel, Enniskillen.
