Brollagh school choir on big stage

The students from St Mary's High School, Brollagh shared the limelight at a high profile event in Derry on Thursday evening of last week, 26th of October when they opened a concert for which the world famous Harlem Gospel Choir from New York topped the bill.

'The choir were fabulous', said a spokeswoman for the school. They sounded amazing. Despite nerves, their performance was possibly the best ever and they received resounding applause'.

The school choir were joined for the occasion by past pupils who have been busily rehearsing with the school pupils.

"The students really enjoyed meeting the renowned Harlem Gospel Choir who watched the pupils rehearse and congratulated them on their performance. It was a wonderful experience for our students to see the Harlem Gospel Choir perform live. The pupils really got into the music and some were even fortunate enough to join the choir on stage", the spokeswoman added.
