Henry Street closed to traffic each night this week

Henry Street closed to traffic at night this week. GKFH69

Motorists who regularly access the Sligo Road via Henry Street should note the road will be closed to through traffic each night this week.

The £1.7 million scheme involving the widening of Henry Street, realignment of the Wellington Road junction in Enniskillen is coming close to completion, and to ensure completion of the new road surface, and to minimise the disruption to traffic, Henry Street will be closed each evening this week (from Monday last, 1st December to Friday, 5th December) during the hours of 7.00pm to 7.00am.

The additional lane entering the town of Enniskillen will be open to traffic in early this month (December).

It will provide more efficient movement of traffic, reducing congestion during the Christmas period, especially with the increased number of shoppers from the South.

Roads Service apologise for any inconvenience caused during the night closures.

A diversion route will be provided for traffic via The Brook, Derrygonelly Road, Drumee Road and Ashwoods Road to Sligo Road and is signposted on all approaches.
