Enniskillen girl Olivia Jones was the belle of the ball last week when following a weekend of fun, fashion and racing at the Down Royal Racecourse, it was capped off in style when she won the James Nicholson Wine Merchant Sparkle at the Races Best Dressed Lady Competition.
Boasting a record breaking prize of £5,000, the top prize was won by Olivia, who wowed the judges and a record crowd of over 9,800 race goers with her flair and elegance. The festival attracted over 15,500 punters during the two days, making it Northern Ireland's number one corporate hospitality event.
Averil Johnston from James Nicholson Wine Merchant congratulated Olivia on her win.
"My congratulations go to Olivia and to all the ladies who dressed so magnificently on the day. They gave our judges such a difficult task in choosing an overall winner. Olivia takes home a terrific prize including a luxury holiday for two to Paris, clothing vouchers for Julie Elliott's fashion boutique in Hillsborough and a generous £1,000 gift voucher for our new, state of the art James Nicholson Wine Merchant shop in Crossgar which is now open."
Down Royal Racecourse manager Mike Todd said:
"Women in Northern Ireland no longer need look with envy to Royal Ascot or the Curragh. With champagne bars, best dressed competitions and of course great racing here at Down Royal, the November Festival has become a truly memorable occasion for everyone.
