The Rolls Royce Enthusiasts' Club, which has sections world-wide, celebrates its 50th anniversary during 2007. This year also marks the centenary of the Rolls Royce Silver Ghost.
These events are being celebrated by requesting as many owners as possible of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars, old and new, to have their wheels on the road on Sunday 12th of August.
The Ireland Section of the Club has arranged for a meeting at 3.00pm on 12th August 2007 at the Glasson Golf and Country Club, Athlone, Co Westmeath.
We hope that as many owners of Rolls Royce and Bentley cars as there are in Ireland will gather there with their cars, whether they are members of the RREC or not, to celebrate this occasion.
The venue has been chosen as being almost in the centre of Ireland so that everyone can conveniently reach it. It is hoped to have 10,000 cars on the road world-wide at the same time to honour Mr Charles Rolls and Mr Henry Royce and their wonderful motorcars.
