Ireland's Number One comedy singer/songwriter Richie Kavanagh is making his way up North once again in his little Morris Minor to Blake's Of Derrylin to treat his fans to a two hour show full of craic, humour and song that is guaranteed to keep you laughing throughout the night!
Richie is certainly no stranger to the Irish people and even those from overseas. Perhaps he is best known for his hit single 'Aon Focal Eile' a song about learning the Irish language in school, but laced with double meaning. The single was in the top ten charts for over six months and a staggering eight weeks as number one.
Richie's new 26 track album 'Make Em Laugh' launched in July and is already a hit all over Ireland, particularly the opening track 'Never Say Ow'. Other hit songs on the album include 'A Girl Called Neillie', 'Big Delph Mug' and of course the infamous 'Podge and Rodge Song'. A song about Ireland's two favourite brothers from the fictional town of Ballydung was seen performed live by Richie on RTÉ Two last year.
In November 2007 Richie launched a tour and a brand new DVD 'Over The Wall' which was filmed on location around the foothills of Mount Leinster.
Richie Kavanagh and his alter ego 'Johnny' will be playing to packed audiences in Blake's Of Derrylin, Derrylin, on Friday 4th April, he will take to the stage at 10.30pm each night and admission is £10 on the door.
