A 23-year-old Irvinestown man has been jailed for four months.
At a sitting of Fermanagh Magistrate's Court, the Resident Magistrate Liam McNally heard how on the 15th October last year, Sean Daniel Devenney from Sallyswood, stole a bottle of Southern Comfort and a bottle of Baileys from a public bar in Mahon's Hotel, Mill Street.
A night porter obtained CCTV coverage which later showed the defendant and another male entering and looking through the tills and cupboard before stealing the alcohol.
Devenney further faced charges of handling a Fugi Digital camera belonging to Bernard Husbands on the 14th October.
The Court heard that at approximately 6pm on 13th October, the defendant caused criminal damage to a red Vauxhall Astra belonging to Trevor Robinson.
The steering wheel was broken and the ignition wires had been tampered with.
The defendant said he could not remember anything about the incident.
He also attempted to take the motor vehicle for his own use without the owner's consent.
Defending, Devenney's solicitor told the Court that his client was a 23-year-old labourer who had been working in Dublin for a few months. He was married with one child.
Mr McNally said Devenney had pleaded guilty to burglary and taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner.
For the offences he imposed a four month prison sentence. The Court further activated a four month suspended prison sentence.
