Thrash metal was the key medium in Blakes of the Hollow on Friday night last as Lisnaskea based band Visceral Attack took to the stage to launch their second EP, V for Visceral.
The five piece band have been on the music scene locally for two years now and with a straightforward representation of aggression, brutality and velocity in music, they are attracting increasing crowds to their gigs. Already, they have released a debut EP entitled 'The Brains Demo' and are hoping to have repeated success with this latest release.
The band comprises of five individuals all aged 16-18. Adam McCormack on guitar, Aidan Ingram on lead guitar, Tom Gallagher on drums, Michael McManus on vocals and Shaun Bannon on base. Chris McCabe replaced the absent Shaun for the launch night.
To celebrate the launch, the band were joined by three other metal bands on the night.
"It was a great launch and there was a good crowd," Adam explained.
"The band practices every weekend n Lisnaskea and we have played gigs in Belfast, Omagh, Enniskillen, Lisnaskea and Irvinestown and we are aiming to go South soon.
"The plans are to send the EP to as many people as possible including distribution labels to see can they help out and get in contact with more bands, and play as many gigs as possible."
