Local crew Nigel Mills and Rodney Wilson took to the PPP sunset rally based in Swatragh in their 1400 Vauxhall Corsa.
The cars left Park Ferme around 7.00pm and headed to the first forest stage Glenshane, followed by Banagher, which would be repeated after service again taking in 25 stage miles.
Nigel was running third car on the road, which meant he would be partly clearing the stage for the rest of the crews.
He found the road difficult to master in the dark and finished the rally taking a class win with nearly a minute to spare from his nearest rivals.
He would have finished a lot higher in the overall standings only for his window steaming up due to a faulty fan.
