Lisnaskea Chamber of Commerce held their annual outing on 21st June. A full coach load headed to Co. Mayo to visit Westport House and gardens, one of Ireland's most beautiful privately owned 18th century historic houses and then went onto the Atlantic scenic route back to Sligo.
The day's events were concluded with an excellent dinner in the Markree Castle, one of Ireland's oldest inhabited castles with its wealth of archaeological interests. Of course, the homeward journey produced the usual singsong to Lisnaskea.
This outing is the highlight of Lisnaskea's Chamber of Commerce activities and the trip's success and enjoyment is all due to Shaun Curran (Chamber Secretary) whose very capable organising skills are well known among members.
Chamber President Robin Gardiner thanked Shaun for organising an excellent, enjoyable day: "It's everyone's wish that the Chamber continues to survive and thrive and lives up to the town's motto, 'Live and let live'."
