'Funny Money' is a laugh a minute tale

The final play in Ardhowen's Summer Season of Comedy, takes place this Thursday 2nd, Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th August at 8.00pm, when the talented Beezneez Theatre Company presents the hilarious West End farce 'Funny Money'. Written by the master of farce Ray Cooney, who has also penned such popular comedies as 'Move Over Mrs Markham', 'Charlie Girl', 'Not Now Darling', 'One For The Pot' and 'Run For Your Wife', 'Funny Money' is another laugh a minute tale that is guaranteed to entertain.

The story of the play surrounds the situation that mild mannered accountant Henry Perkins finds himself in when he picks up the wrong briefcase on the train.

While someone else has ended up with his cheese sandwich, he finds the briefcase he mistakenly took to be full of £50 notes to the tune of £735,000.

In the meantime Henry's wife Jean who is preparing a birthday dinner for him is worried that he is very late and should have been home some time ago, particularly as good friends Vic and Betty have been invited and are due any moment.

When Henry eventually arrives and tells his shocked wife the story, he states that he wants to move right away to Barcelona to a new life.

Just as they are coming to terms with the situation, their guests arrive, but when a further knock at the door heralds the arrival of not one, but two police inspectors, all hell breaks loose, as a frantic cover up takes place.

Don't miss this hilarious side splitting tour de force from the company that gave you 'The Kings Of The Kilburn High Road' last year.
