The Share Arts Centre have plans well in place for a very busy summer season, which promises a range of activities to keep everyone entertained over the long days ahead.
From July 23 to August 24 the theatre education project 'Child's Play' will take place at Share.
This is sponsored by Paul Hamblyn Foundation and has been running for almost 12 months.
Majella Flanagan, Share's Arts Co-Ordinator who has managed this theatre project explains: "Child's Play has been one of Share's most successful arts projects to date with oversubscription by young people.
"It seems to have really got their attention and the participants attending are learning great skills such as costume making, performance and technical abilities.
The plays produced are all their own work and to date have been very funny, for example 'Wish You Were There', a teenager's take on Tony Blair's new airport security measures." New members are very welcome for this coming season. For information or to book, contact Majella at Share.
August 13-17 sees the return of the popular Share's Rock School. This follows on from the great success of the Battle of the Bands, hosted by Share annually.
Majella says: "There are some very talented young musicians in the county. The week offers sessions from 10-3pm daily, £60 per person. If you want to book call Share on 6772 2122.
