A motorist who was detected driving at 87mph along the Belfast Road close to Enniskillen has been fined £250 and had his licence endorsed with three penalty points at Fermanagh Magistrates Court.
David William Hamilton (29) with an address at Meadowvale, Garvary was stopped by police on 28th October last year driving at 87mph on a road governed by the national 60mph limit.
He was offered a fixed penalty but was unable to produce his licence in time because it was with the DVLNI for renewal.
Resident Magistrate Liam McNally said he didn't feel this speed was appropriate for a fixed penalty but as it had been offered to the defendant he would keep the points to the minimum of three.
