40 new jobs for supermarket

Up to 40 new jobs will be created in Enniskillen by Asda as they extend their home shopping service to Fermanagh.

It is hoped 40 new jobs will be created in Asda in Enniskillen at the start of next year.

The welcome boost for the job market in Fermanagh is due to the store rolling out their home shopping service to the County.

This week, Asda extended the service to Ballyclare, creating 40 new jobs there as its home shopping service goes live. They also confirmed plans to extend www.asda.com to Coleraine in November, and Enniskillen in early 2009. Each phase will see around 40 new jobs for their respective areas.

"This is yet another example of ASDA living up to its commitments to give great value and excellent service to shoppers in Northern Ireland," commented Mark Pollard, Regional Operations Manager for ASDA.

"We have spent the last three years listening to our customers and developing a service that fully responds to what they need and want. Home shopping is the next logical step in our expansion plans for Northern Ireland, and we're confident that our customers in Ballyclare, Coleraine and Enniskillen will welcome the service as widely as their counterparts in Dundonald have done."
