The film 'Walk the Line' rejuvenated interest in one of the greatest country music stars that transgressed across all genres and had an ability to make any song his own. Quite possibly the most recognizable voice in all of Country music belongs to 'The Man in Black', Johnny Cash.
His forays into the field of Country, Folk, Rock and even Gospel music distinguishes Cash as one of the most intriguing performers in all of 20th Century popular music. Cash was one of Country music's biggest stars of the 50's and 60's scoring well over 100 hit singles and in 1980 at the age of 48 he became the youngest inductee into the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll hall of Fame bestowed its honour on him in 1995.
You can catch this remarkable show live on Saturday night 25th August at Blakes Bar, Main Street, Derrylin, Co Fermanagh.
